While phone interviewing a fabulous candidate yesterday evening for a customer service position, she asked me if the employer would allow her to wear her Hijab.

I assured her it wasn’t an issue but couldn’t help feeling disturbed over this question.

What a sad state of affairs Montreal is in.

Nobody should have the right to tell a Muslim woman what they can and cannot wear.

Thankfully, I know my client will welcome her with open arms and I am confident that she will get hired because of her experience and superior customer service skills.
